❤️ Why “Red’s”?
When we were choosing a name for our company, we wanted something memorable, personal, and easy to recognize — especially when seen on our marketing materials. The last four digits of our business phone number spells REDS and has deep roots in our family.
My mom is a redhead
My nephew, also a redhead, is nicknamed “Red” by his football team
I was named after the comic book character Red Sonja
And my maternal grandfather’s nickname was “Red” too
So naming it
Red’s Home Solutions
just felt right —
a tribute to our family
and a name people
won’t forget.
🏡 How We Got Into Real Estate Investing
Our journey began in Charlotte, North Carolina, where I (Sonja) worked as a photographer, capturing homes for realtors, real estate investors, and even Airbnb Plus listings.
This was during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when mortgage rates hit record lows. As I started considering buying a home of my own,
I realized something: Homes were going under contract before I could even finish editing the listing photos — often within 48 hours.
That fast-paced market, combined with the wide variety of properties I photographed, sparked a curiosity in me about real estate investing.
My research eventually led me to the Women’s Real Estate Investing Network (WREIN). After attending one of their workshops, I shared what I’d learned with my mom — and together, we joined their mentorship program.
And now… here we are — doing what we love, helping homeowners explore real, flexible solutions when life calls for something different.
